Teacher held in BEd password hacking racket

Police on Saturday arrested a teacher of a college in Meerut for his alleged involvement in a case of hacking passwords and a list of the names 292 students and their passwords was found in his possession. He was later granted bail.

Agents of few private colleges have been hacking the password allotted to students during the ongoing counselling of BEd course. After resetting the password, these agents are locking their private colleges for these students.

Ten students had complained to the authorities that their password was hacked and a private college not of their choice was given to them. The increasing complaints of password hacking alerted authorities at Khandelwal College of Management and Technology (KCMT) where BEd counselling is going on. The presence of Sunil Gehlot and his two aides on campus aroused the suspicion of college authorities. When the trio could not satisfy them, the college authorities informed the police. Though Gehlot was arrested, his two accomplices managed to flee.
